It's very forgiving in that there's only 3 ways to get insta killed, backstabs from spies, headshots from sniper and random crits.

It's by no means as unforgiving as CSGO, but it does take a bit of getting used to with class matchups and learning how the different weapons work.

It's still a very very fun game, there's a reason why it still has such a large community after so many years.
